Background: Oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) comprise any disorders, tumors, in addition to microscopic alterations that have a risk of development cancers the mouth. When epithelial dysplasia is detected an oral lesion, it termed as precancerous lesion. Finding: Several changes color or thickness normal mucosa might be during clinical diagnosis lesions. Leukoplakia cavity name for one most predominant OPMDs mucosa. comparing examination with naked eyes planning apply staining special stain using image optical fluorescence, incidence patients may rise, well clearing lesion boundary. Increased size more than 2cm2, presence colored regions red hue, lichenoid process characteristics, and severe are all considered factors. One-third premalignant lesions progress cancer, whereas other two-thirds stay stable regress without progressing malignancy. Conclusion: It critical research patients' unique which include psychological, genetic, dietary, dental problems. present potential diseases not develop into carcinoma recurrent.

Epithelial Dysplasia in Oral Cavity (Review Article)
Among oral lesions, we encounter a series of malignant epithelial lesions that go through clinical and histopathologic processes in order to be diagnosed. Identifying these processes along with the etiology knowledge of these lesions is very important in prevention and early treatments. Dysplasia is the step preceding the formation of squamous cell carcinoma in lesions which have the potential ...
متن کاملPredictive value of dysplasia grading and DNA ploidy in malignant transformation of oral potentially malignant disorders.
Dysplasia grading is widely used to assess risk of transformation in oral potentially malignant disorders despite limited data on predictive value. DNA ploidy analysis has been proposed as an alternative. This study examines the prognostic value for both tests used in a routine diagnostic setting to inform clinical management. A retrospective study of conventional dysplasia grading was conducte...

متن کاملOral potentially malignant disorders: Is malignant transformation predictable and preventable?
Leukoplakia is the most common potentially malignant disorder of the oral mucosa. The prevalence is approximately 1% while the annual malignant transformation ranges from 2% to 3%. At present, there are no reliable clinicopathological or molecular predicting factors of malignant transformation that can be used in an individual patient and such event can not truly be prevented. Furthermore, foll...
